first news conference since being reelected this morning. he addressed the growing david petraeus scandal, praising the former cia director for his career, but is reserving judgment on whether he should have been informed earlier. the president also said he is very confident they can gem immigration reform done. and those discussions are already under way. he also said he wouldn't extend the bush tax cuts to people making more than $250,000. but his sharpest response came following criticism of u.n. ambassador susan rice and her comments on the attack in benghazi. >> if senator mccain and senator graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. but for them to go after the u.n. ambassador who had nothing to do with benghazi and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received, to besmirch her reputation is outrageous. >> senator lindsey graham of south carolina responded immediately saying he holds the president accountable, and that he failed as commander in chief before, during, and after that attack. >>> the speculation is over.
